Student Spotlights

Fifteen Science Coach students advanced to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in 2025. ISEF is the world’s largest global science competition for high school students. Through an international network of local, regional, and national science fairs, millions of students are encouraged to explore their passion for scientific inquiry. Each spring, an elite group of these students is selected as finalists and offered the opportunity to compete for approximately U.S. $9 million in awards and scholarships.

Four Science Coach students earned top awards at ISEF:

Benjamin Lothamer placed 2nd in the Biomedical Engineering category

Cooper Grotzinger placed 3rd in the Earth and Environmental Sciences category

Marcus King placed 4th in the Physics and Astronomy category

Emma Fetterhoff received special awards from the United States Air Force and Missouri University of Science and Technology
